SAP Partner NIMBL Acquired By Italian Firm -

An Italian technology company has acquired a SAP partner based in the United States.

Milan-based Techedge S.P.A. has acquired NIMBL, a 100-person SAP Lighthouse Partner. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Colorado-based NIMBL, which launched in 2009, provides functional and technical consulting services. The Denver-based company also offers application managed services at the midmarket and enterprise level.

The executives at Techedge, which boasts 1,700 employees, call this deal “instrumental” in strengthening the company’s operations in the United States. They say the deal will broaden its offering portfolio by increasing capacity and geographic footprint within the US market.

The deal will also allow NIMBL to solidify its brand within North America, the company asserts, bringing scale to its operations in the region while relying on the resources of the larger Techedge Group to bring its own disruptive solutions and services to the marketplace.

NIMBL founders Yosh Eisbart and Michael Pytel will continue running operations as an autonomous Techedge business, according to some reports.

SAP Partner Mergers and Acquisitions

SAP is a German software company especially known for its Enterprise Resource Planning and data management programs. Given that so many of its partners have consultancy services that extend across on-premises and cloud applications, they’ve become especially attractive targets for acquisition recently.

One Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm, acquired Rizing LLC, an SAP-focused provider of IT systems integration and implementation services in February of this year.

NTT Communications Corp. in November 2017 acquired Secure-24 Intermediate Holdings, a U.S.-based managed services provider (MSP) focused on hosted SAP, Oracle and Microsoft solutions.

Capgemini in September 2017 acquired Lyons Consulting Group, a 300-person Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Hybris and Magento partner.

Lightwell, an IT services and solutions provider in Dublin, Ohio, in September 2017 acquired BAAX LLC—a Columbus, Ohio-based consulting firm that specializes in SAP and Oracle data analytics.

SAP has been singing the praises of midmarket partner engagements over the last few months. It’s expected the company will reinforce that message at its SAP Sapphire Now 2018 conference in June.
